Servas Belgium-Luxemburg WWWak International Art Event - April 29 - May 8 2016

Our Servas Israel friends, Lesley, Meir, Varda & Arie participated with artists from Belgium and other countries in the Amateur Artists Week at Dilbeek.
Lesley and Meir created a Peace statue and invited artists and visitors to attach words of peace and love in their own languages to the statue.
Meir presented some works while Arie painted during the event itself.

This year the Westrand Cultural Center in Dilbeek near Brussels invited artists from other countries to participate in the Amateur Artists Week, making in into an international event. Servas Belguim invited Servas artists to participate and organized them hosts for the week.

There are about 15 artists painting and sculpturing with wood, clay and ceramics, doing patchwork, weaving, photography and more.

About half of the artists are local Belguims from Dilbeek while the rest are from Canada, Germany, Italy, Romania and Israel, most of whom are Servas members. There is a good atmoshere among the participants and many local people drop it to see the creations.

The art is ongoing and many of the artists encourage the visitors to participate in their art projects.
