Members of Servas Israel were hosted by members of the Golan and the Galilee for a day trip.
חברי סוררס ישראל התארחו אצל חברי סרווס מהגולן והגליל ליום טיול באזור.

היה טיול ממש כיפי הגיעו 18 איש רובם הגדול מסרווס חלקם הקטן אורחים ומתעניינים. נפגשנו במצפה לשלום בדרום הגולן, הסברנו קצת על המקום, על הכנרת ועל המים, כמו גם על המבנה של היום טיול.
עלינו אחרי זה לתל סאקי דיברנו על האירועים שהיו שמה במלחמת יום כיפור. הרבה אנשים השתתפו בסיפור כי היו גם חלק מהמלחמה הזאת… המשכנו לג’וחדר -תל אורחה, שמה פיקנקנו ליד בריכת קצינים, חלקינו גם נכנס למים. בריכה בעומק של שני מטר בערך ואחרי זה המשכנו לתצפית קונטרה עם הסבר על כל המעברים בין סוריה לישראל, המצב בסוריה וכו’.
ולבסוף הגענו למטע של עקב קטפנו דובדבנים ושמענו סיפורי דרוזים
It was a really fun trip, 18 people came, most of them Servas hosts and some interested guests. We met at Mitzpe Shalom in the southern Golan and started by explaining what we are going to do along the day.
It was a good place to explain about the era, the Sea of Galilee and the water situation.
After that, we went up to Tel Saki and talked about the events that were there in the Yom Kippur War. Many people took part in telling the story as they were soldiers in that war.
We continued to Juhader – Tel Orcha, where we had a picnic near the “Officers’ pool”, the pool is about two meters deep and some of us went into the water.
We continued to Kunetra, a lookout point, with an explanation of all the border-crossings between Syria and Israel, the situation in Syria, etc. Finally we reached a cherry orchard, picked cherries and enjoyed listening to some Druze stories.
