After an hour and a half of walking along small pathways among olive trees, figs trees and pomegranate trees, we sat down in the shade at a long table laden with figs, dates, wine and other refreshments.

We raised a toast, shared New Year greetings and met an English Israeli couple who had just joined our group, and an American Servas member now living in Israel for a year with her two daughters. Our national Servas Secretary Claudia and her husband Shlomi who also participated in the walk – Claudia gave us an account of the International meeting in Poland.
