Servas Get-together to celebrate Sukkot at Kibbutz Sde Boker

Servas Israeli friends were hosted by Nitzhona and Zvi Ben Dror in the big sukkah of their kibbutz – Sde Boker, in the Negev desert, Southern Israel.

Servas hosts from Poland joined too.

Nitzhona (her name’s source is victory, being born soon after Israel’s Independence war) guided us to Ben-Gurion hut .

After the picnic lunch (Servas-way, everyone bringing some home specialty) and toast , celebrating the New Year and Sukkot, we heard a report on the Servas General Assembly, attended by Claudia, and the plans for Israel.

We closed the day with a short drive to Ben-Gurion memorial near Midreshet Ben-Gurion, to pay our tribute and enjoy the breath-taking view of Zin river.
