The annual meeting of Servas Israel took place in Tel Aviv, March 13, 2009. The venue was the community center in Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv. Servas International is celebrating 60 years since it was founded. Tel Aviv is also celebrating 100 years since it was founded.

90 Servas members attended this meeting – "long time" members and new members. All ages were represented. With beautiful weather and an attractive setting, everyone felt relaxed and sociable.

3 walking guided tours lasted a few hours, and each Servas member could choose one of them – Neve Tzedek neighborhood, Nahum Gutman museum, Rotschild Boulvard. Following the tours, a "pot luck lunch" took place in the garden of the community center.

Then the non-profit organization annual meeting was held in an atmosphere of good humor and lively participation. The current executive board was reelected:

Haim Murik as national secretary, Claudia Sagi as peace secretary, Efrat Ninio as host list coordinator, Rachel Pinkas as events coordinator, and Ohad Artzi as treasurer.

Related roles outside the executive board were accepted: Amit Haklai as Servas Israel website manager, and Nirit Harel as Servas Israel Youth coordinator.

The treasurer and Audit committee reports were accepted and it was agreed that the current  Audit committee will continue to function this year.

Thanks to Ilana Pollack who organized the events for this annual meeting, to Ada Bregman for the registration of the participants and the fee collection, to Nirit Harel for organizing the mini meeting of the Youth members, and to Claudia Sagi who worked tirelessly to make it all work smoothly and bring such a large number of members to this successful gathering.

Thank you All,
Haim Murik
Servas Israel National Secretary
