Yearly Meeting of Servas Israel Volunteers - 26 November 2016

 

The Annual meeting of Servas Israel Volunteers – for fun and learning - Mount Tabor, Kfar Tavor Kfar Kama

Volunteering and promoting the organization's objectives gives me satisfaction and pleasure. We have a unique organization - Goodness going around the world.

This annual meeting is an expression of deep appreciation of the active spirit of volunteerism of Servas Israel friends, who leave their comfort and find the time to initiate, organize, make, move and get into action successful, enjoyable and enriching activities and projects for all members of the organization in the country and abroad.

Our friend, Yafa, volunteered to guide and enrich us with information regarding Mount Tavor, the upper round trail, the church and its history. She also hosted us, a group of 25 volunteers, in her home, for a Servas-like lunch and an open meeting of our national board with all volunteers.

The board's and volunteers' work was presented and explained to the near and far term – what has been in 2016, and what is planned for 2017.

Our National Secretary, Claudia, presented our goals and the need for volunteers in the following areas:

 Increasing the number of members aged 18 to 40, advertising and marketing, implementation of the Servas International website / new system, assistance in planning and organizing an international conference in Israel in December 2017 on "Multiculturalism and ethnic groups in Israel ", organizing regional meetings and meetings of young people and families, increasing the number of members participating in the activities.

At the end of the board meeting, we went to visit the Circassian Heritage Center and Museum in Kfar Kama. We watched the exhibits, the video and presentation about the past and present of the Circassians in Israel and worldwide.

בשבילי, ההתנדבות עבור קידום מטרות הארגון מעניק לי סיפוק והנאה. יש לנו ארגון ממש מיוחד במינו. טוב לב שמסתובב בעולם. 

מפגש הפעילים הוא ביטוי הערכה עמוקה לרוח ההתנדבות של הפעילים. מענק הערכה לפעילים שיוצאים ממקום הנוחות שלהם ומתפנים ליזום ,לארגן, לעשות , להזיז ולהביא לכלל מעשה מוצלח , מהנה ומעשיר לכלל החברים בארגון בארץ ובחו"ל.
יפה כפיר מכפר תבור התנדבה להדריך ולהעשיר אותנו במידע הנוגע לאתר ולהיסטוריה הישראלית.  נידבה את ביתה  לארח אותנו ולקיים ישיבת מזכירות פתוחה. 

בבוקר, בהדרכתה של יפה, ביקרנו בכנסיה שעל הר תבור וצעדנו בשביל סובב הר תבור.

בחזרה לביתה, אכלנו ביחד מהמטעמים שכל אחד הביא, ולאחר מכן ערכנו ישיבת מזכירות פתוחה לכל הפעילים.

עבודת המזכירות הוצגה והוסברה לטווח הקרוב והרחוק. הוצגו הפעילויות שהיו ויהיו, וכמו כן מטרות לקידום פעילות הארגון בשנה הקרובה – 2017.
הארגון מעוניין לקלוט מתנדבים שיתרכזו בהובלה ,קידום והפעלת הנושאים הבאים:
 הרחבת/ הגדלת מספר החברים מגיל 18 עד 40,  פרסום ושיווק הארגון, בדיקת וקליטת האתר/המערכת החדשה של סרווס העולמית, קידום פרויקט ש.י.א (שביל ישראל  אתני), סיוע בתכנון וארגון כנס בינלאומי בישראל בדצמבר 2017 בנושא "רב-תרבותיות וקבוצות אתניות בישראל", ארגון מפגשים אזוריים ומפגשי צעירים ומשפחות, הגדלת מספר החברים המשתתפים בפעילויות.

בתום ישיבת המזכירות יצאנו לבקר בכפר קמא במרכז למורשת הצ'רקסים. צפינו בסרט ווידאו שהציג בתמציתיות ובהירות את העבר וההווה של הצ'רקסים בעולם ובישראל. ההסברים של המנחה העלו הרצון להעמיק לדעת עליהם. ענתה באדיבות  לכל השאלות ואף הרחיבה . המוצגים במוזיאון הוסיפו מימד נוסף על מה שראינו ושמענו.
